For Task 4 I chose to typeset an interview with a director Wes Anderson who has created many movies known for their beautiful cinematography such as The Royal Tenenbaums, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Moonrise Kingdom (which the interview is about), etc.

The chosen color palette is taken from Moonrise Kingdom stills' and adapted to the design incorporating visual content with the actual interview and vice versa. I believe that these colors and consistent layout really bring the reader to peace and lets him enjoy the article. I think I managed to bring the aesthetic of Anderson which he creates in his films by justifying the text, using centered imagery, and very warm colors.

By reading many interviews, googling information, and rewatching Anderson's movies I did my research before starting the layout. It gave me ideas on how to typeset the text, how should the overall spreads look, and what I am aiming for. I think the key inspiration for me was a short movie I found on Vimeo where a fan of Anderson explains his habit of shooting centered shots while making movies. The video includes many scenes from different works of Anderson which are just magnificent to look at.

Another key point was the usage of fonts - I decided to research what typefaces does Wes Anderson use most in his movies by looking up movie posters, trailers and film credits. I found a few that are used very often: Tilda, Didot, Futura, FF DIN, and Beaufort. For my design, I decided to go with Tilda and Futura which are very contrasting. I used Tilda for quotes in the spreads and for the main text - Futura Medium and Bold (for subheadings). The size varies between 12pt  for the main text including subheadings and 36pt for headings and quotes.

Overall, I think this layout is a success but it contains a few errors that I should look at in the future (for example last pages where I created custom text boxes and the text isn't typeset perfectly, contains too much letterspacing at some points, etc.)
